Producer-pop star will.i.am, once rumored to have a mighty crush on Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole, is not the only Black Eyed Peas member who finds Cheryl absolutely amazing.
Taboo met the “3 Words” singer when she toured with the Black Eyed Peas, and now he has said in an interview that the 27-year-old is quite capable of making a name for herself overseas.
He told BANG Showbiz: “Cheryl Cole is a very inspirational person. We actually got to hang out with her on tour and share all the success. She’s got her own vibe going on and she’s a very caring woman, and we just hope that she can do it.”
Asked about a possible collaboration with the X Factor judge, Taboo admitted that no such thing was in the works, at least “not at the moment.”
The Black Eyed Peas, along with Willow Smith and Justin Bieber, performed at the 2011 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards over the weekend, opening the show with “The Time (Dirty Bit)” and “Just Can’t Get Enough.” It was the Peas’ first appearance on the awards program.
Before the show, singer Fergie told the press: “We’ve always been on tour every year. My mom would call me and say, ‘You know you’re nominated for Kids’ Choice Awards.’ I would watch the show on the internet, and it would make me sad that we couldn’t be there. This is a special moment for us to be able to come to this particular award show and rock it.”
In addition to having worked on music and toured with Cheryl Cole, Black Eyed Peas member will.i.am produced a track for the new Britney Spears album, Femme Fetale. The “Toxic” singer recently admitted her admiration for the producer, telling MTV: “I love his work. He’s all over the place. He’s brilliant. When he does talk, he blows you away.”
